Buyer UK - Immediate

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting an additional buyer to work in our busy purchasing department. You will be responsible for purchasing computer components from manufacturers and distributors worldwide, continually striving to secure the lowest possible cost for highest quality components. The role will be varied and will include supplier assessment, negotiation and materials planning as well as the usual purchasing tasks such as placing purchase orders. Key requirements include:

  • Bags of energy and enthusiasm required. No room here for shy retiring types or plodders.
  • Target driven.
  • Familiar with PC component terminology.
  • Sound negotiation skills or willing and able to learn quickly.
  • Numerate with good analytical skills.

Design Engineer UK - Immediate

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious engineer wishing to further develop their career in Design/Development and special projects. We are expanding our product portfolio and are looking for an engineer to join our design team. Working within a friendly team, key duties will be to partake in the company's product development roadmap including a portfolio of Industrial and Embedded PC computing platforms for a wide variety of industrial automation applications. PC Assembly Technicians UK & Canada Immediate

Due to another year of growth, we now need to recruit additional technicians to join our friendly production team at our prestigious new building in Segensworth.

Duties will include assembly, configuration and test of industrial computers and servers. Applicants should have experience of PC build and OS installation, and should be up to date with latest hardware. You will be provided with a tool kit and you will receive training on our company procedures. We operate a bonus scheme based on quality of workmanship, and day release to college is possible but not compulsory. Key requirements are:

  • Experience of building and testing PCs.
  • Experience of installing Windows, e.g. 95/98/2000/NT/XP.
  • Excellent manual dexterity with good hand skills, including mechanical assembly.
  • Crimping and soldering skills will be an advantage.
  • Must have high standards and have pride in your work.

Production Manager UK - Immediate

Due to internal re-organisation, there is now an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to lead our production department into an exciting new period of growth.

The successful applicant will be responsible for our team of production technicians and stores staff, building and testing high quality industrial computers to order and for stock. Key requirements are:

  • Lots of energy, enthusiasm and positive attitude required, with the ability to work quickly and multi-task effectively.
  • Proven people management skills are essential, with the ability to motivate and energise at all levels from apprentice to supervisor.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or management position in a low volume high value manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of production planning, scheduling and capacity planning are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to produce high quality documentation and reports quickly and accurately.
  • Previous experience in a stores environment is essential, including stock control, handling, packing, preservation and delivery. Stores supervision or management experience will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing will be an advantage.

  • Ability to generate schematics using schematic capture tools and simple PCB artwork designs using PCB CAD software.
  • Experience in design rationalisation for medium volume manufacture.
  • Experience of compliance issues such as EMC, Safety (i.e. EN60950), IP ratings (resistance to dust & water ingress) and shock and vibration testing.
  • Good understanding and practical experience of configuration control, including BOMs, change control and revision control.
  • Knowledge of PC based computer components and systems, ideally in the industrial computer sector
